ABOUT Jonathan

Hi, I'm Jonathan. I tear up during father daughter dances. It’s my thing. I have a 12 year old daughter who has me wrapped around her finger. (When I first added that sentence to my about page, she was 9!) At every wedding I imagine what that moment will feel like when it’s Eleanor’s wedding day. Parenthood overwhelms with emotion and flies by faster than you can believe. When I’m at a wedding, long before the ceremony and well after those special dances, I love watching (and capturing) the sometimes quiet, and sometimes loud, moments of connection and family.

My wife and I recently got married! We did it. We did the whole shebang, saw our jobs from the other side, and loved every minute of it. My wife is a wedding photographer as well. It was very much the best day of our lives and cemented how much we love our jobs. The photo above has really knocked my socks off and hit home how much I value what wedding photographers get to do for our clients. We capture moments with pure emotion that bring you back to that exact time with those exact feelings. We show people moments they treasured and moments they never even got to see. (Maybe even because you were kissing your wife!) This photo is of my family, but it also represents everything I do and why I do it.

I am a dad, husband, photographer and a songwriter. I started shooting professionally in 2011 as a means to scratch a creative itch and provide for my family. What I didn’t realize was how many stories would touch me so deeply, and I certainly had no idea that so many new and wonderful friendships would be fostered as a result of picking up a camera. 12 years and 300+ weddings later, I still find myself struck by the incredible intimacy, family dynamics and love I get to witness. It doesn’t get old and I’m honored every single time.

My primary location is Pennsylvania, but I shoot a lot in the Baltimore, Maryland area. The Pennsylvania areas I service are Reading, Lancaster, Allentown, West Chester, Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley, Poconos and Bethlehem. I also shoot throughout the Maryland and Washington DC area very regularly. I am also available for travel anywhere. I have enjoyed shooting weddings everywhere from Turks and Caicos and South Beach to France and New York City.
