Esther & Blake | Wedding At The Majestic Theater In Gettysburg, PA

I knew this wedding was going to be one for the books when Esther’s original inquiry mentioned Gettysburg, but I had no idea how awesome it was really going to be.  My parents met in Gettysburg while attending college.  My Aunt and Uncle did the same and my mom’s best friend, who I lovingly refer to as Aunt Jean, has lived, breathed and worked at Gettysburg college forever.  It is safe to say I have spent some time in this wonderful and historic Pennsylvania town.  I was absolutely thrilled when I was contacted by Esther and Blake, without knowing anything about my connection to their town, to shoot their wedding.  The cherry on top was when I found out that not only was my Aunt Jean instrumental in restoring the old Majestic Theater that Esther and Blake were having their reception at, but in typical small town fashion, Esther and Aunt Jean knew each other.  Their families and friends welcomed this photographer with open arms.  Esther and her entire family buzzed around their downtown Gettysburg home getting ready for the ceremony and I really enjoyed watching everyone on such a momentous day.  Blake and crew took the dressing rooms at The Majestic which lent it’s own neat touch.  There was food, there were smiles and there was dancing.  It was an awesome wedding.  Congrats guys!
